Row of wall-mounted Level 2 EV chargers in an apartment community parking structure with two electric cars plugged in
Apartments · Condos · HOAs

EV charging your residents will actually use.

More of your residents are driving electric, and most of them charge where they park overnight. JuiceNet supplies and coordinates the installation of charging for apartment communities, condos and HOAs, so you can say yes to the request instead of scrambling when it arrives.

Why now

Residents are asking, and the rules are catching up

Three reasons to have a plan before the first request lands.

About 80%
of EV charging happens at home

That is the U.S. Department of Energy’s estimate. Residents who can’t plug in where they park are left depending on public stations.

California
Tenants can request a charger

Under Civil Code §1947.6, landlords generally must approve a tenant’s written request for a charger at their assigned space, with the tenant paying the costs. Exceptions apply.

Washington
Associations can’t simply say no

State law (RCW 64.90.513, effective January 1, 2026) bars associations from adopting rules that effectively prohibit or unreasonably restrict EV charging stations.

Your options

One building, a few ways to run it

We set up charging around how you want to operate, not the other way around.

Resident-only charging

Reserve chargers for residents, with access arranged around your parking layout.

Open to guests and the public

Open selected spaces to visitors and nearby drivers where it makes sense for your property.

A free perk, or a paid service

Offer charging free as an amenity, or set rates and bill drivers through networked chargers. You choose.

How it works

From first walkthrough to working chargers

1 Assess & plan

Together with a licensed electrical contractor, we review your electrical service, parking layout and resident demand. Where capacity is tight, load management can share available power across chargers and may reduce the need for costly upgrades.

2 Permit & install

Licensed electrical contractors from our network pull the permits and install to code. We coordinate the work so your team isn’t managing trades.

3 Go live

Chargers go online on the charger brand’s network, such as ChargePoint or Blink, where you can track usage and set pricing if you want to.

Questions

Multifamily EV charging — FAQ

How much does EV charging for an apartment community cost?
Cost depends on the number of chargers, your electrical capacity and the distance from your panel to the parking. We give you a clear, itemized quote after a site assessment, so you can see what each part costs before you decide.
What chargers do you install at apartments and condos?
ChargePoint, Blink and Tesla Level 2 stations, set up for resident-only or public access. We recommend the right option for your parking layout and electrical service.
A tenant asked for a charger. What are we required to do?
In California, Civil Code §1947.6 generally requires a landlord to approve a tenant’s written request to install a charger at their assigned parking space, with the tenant paying the costs. There are exceptions, such as very small lots or properties that already provide charging at 10% of spaces. Rules vary by state and lease date, so confirm your obligations with your attorney. We can help you answer requests with a building-wide plan.
Can the property earn revenue from EV charging?
Yes. Many properties set rates for charging and earn revenue from it, and networked chargers support transparent billing. You can also offer charging free as a resident perk. We’ll walk you through both options.
Are there incentives for multifamily EV charging?
The federal 30C credit ended for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Many utilities and states still offer charger or make-ready rebates, and we’ll help you identify programs for your property. The U.S. Department of Energy incentives database is a good place to start.
Who manages the chargers after installation?
The charger brand or network, such as ChargePoint or Blink, manages the stations through its own platform. We help you choose the right equipment and manage the project to bring everyone together.
