How it works

Installation in three steps

1 Assess & quote

We evaluate your electrical panel, location and needs, then give you a clear, itemized quote — no surprises.

2 Permit & install

Licensed electrical contractors from our network pull the permits and complete a safe, code-compliant installation.

3 Go live

Your electrician or the charger brand activates it and gets it online. Ongoing management is handled by the brand’s network or app.

Permits & local rules

Getting your charger permitted in Los Angeles

We work with your electrician and you to get the paperwork squared away.

Every charger needs a permit

Adding a dedicated 240-volt circuit requires an electrical permit, through the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) or your local building department.

Express permitting for standard installs

LADBS offers an express permit process for many straightforward residential installs. Panel upgrades, multifamily and commercial projects get additional review.

Renting or in a condo?

California tenants can request a charger at their assigned space under Civil Code §1947.6. See our multifamily charging page.

Always confirm current rules with your building department. We work with your electrician and you to get permits squared away.
