Why EV charging in Kirkland is changing

Kirkland packs waterfront condos, a walkable downtown, and Google’s growing campus into some of the Eastside’s densest blocks — where many residents park on the street or in shared garages with nowhere to charge.

~39%
of Kirkland households rent

Thousands of Kirkland residents live in condos and apartments around Moss Bay, Totem Lake and Juanita — often with no dedicated charger. Peer-to-peer charging fills that gap.

#1
EV county in Washington

Kirkland sits in King County, the state’s top county for EV adoption — Washington passed 224,000 registered EVs in 2024, up 34% in a single year.

PSE
rebates for hosts

Kirkland is Puget Sound Energy territory — hosts can tap Level 2 home-charger rebates and money-saving overnight time-of-use rates, then earn by sharing that charger.

Join the waitlist and we’ll tell you the moment a charger goes live near you.
How much does it cost?
Each host sets their own price, and you see it up front in the app before you book. Neighborhood charging is often more affordable than public fast-charging — though rates vary by host.
Will JuiceNet work with my EV — J1772 or NACS (Tesla)?
Yes — and a plug-in hybrid too. Home Level 2 chargers use either the J1772 or the NACS (Tesla) connector, and an inexpensive adapter bridges the two, so any EV or PHEV can charge.
How do I book and pay?
Everything happens in the JuiceNet app — find a charger, reserve a time, plug in, and pay. No cash, no membership card.
Can I earn money hosting in Kirkland?
Yes. Any Level 2 home charger can join — J1772 or NACS. Kirkland is Puget Sound Energy territory, so hosts can also tap PSE home-charger rebates and overnight time-of-use rates. Become a founding host and be one of the first in the city.
What if there’s no charger near me yet?
