Why EV charging in Redmond is changing

Redmond is Microsoft’s hometown — a tech city where thousands of EV-driving commuters live in apartments and townhomes, and new light-rail stations are reshaping how people get around. Convenient home-neighborhood charging is the missing piece.

~50%
of Redmond households rent

Half of Redmond lives in apartments and townhomes — usually with no way to install a charger at home. Peer-to-peer charging fills that gap.

2 Line
light rail has arrived

New stations at Overlake, Marymoor and Downtown Redmond are bringing dense, transit-oriented housing — and more EV drivers who need a place to plug in.

PSE
rebates for hosts

Redmond is Puget Sound Energy territory — hosts can tap Level 2 home-charger rebates and money-saving overnight time-of-use rates, then earn by sharing that charger.

Join the waitlist and we’ll tell you the moment a charger goes live near you.
How much does it cost?
Each host sets their own price, and you see it up front in the app before you book. Neighborhood charging is often more affordable than public fast-charging — though rates vary by host.
Will JuiceNet work with my EV — J1772 or NACS (Tesla)?
Yes — and a plug-in hybrid too. Home Level 2 chargers use either the J1772 or the NACS (Tesla) connector, and an inexpensive adapter bridges the two, so any EV or PHEV can charge.
